Kazakh Fintech Giant Gets Approval To Buy Turkish Bank

Kaspi.kz has received approval from Turkey’s banking regulator to acquire Rabobank A.Ş., Orda.kz reports.
The approval was issued by Turkey’s Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency, or BDDK. Kaspi.kz expects to close the deal in July 2026, subject to standard closing conditions.
Kaspi.kz CEO and co-founder Mikheil Lomtadze called the regulator’s decision an important step for the company.
After the transaction is completed, we expect to apply our experience in payments, e-commerce, and fintech to expand digital opportunities for consumers and entrepreneurs in Turkey,he said.
Kaspi.kz signed an agreement to buy Rabobank’s Turkish subsidiary in 2025.
Rabobank A.Ş. is a licensed bank in Turkey. It has no borrower clients, depositors, or branch network.
