The ex-wife of Kazakh diplomat Saken Mamash, formerly stationed at Kazakhstan’s embassy in the UAE, has claimed emotional pressure and manipulation, Orda.kz reports.
Karina Gosman posted a video on Instagram alleging that Mamash used their children to pressure her during a court-mandated visitation in March — their first meeting since the divorce.
He tries to instill guilt in me. Knowing that a trial is inevitable and that he could go to jail, he kept asking for forgiveness. He said things like, ‘Karina, you don’t want to put me in prison. What will you tell the children if I end up there?' Gosman said.
She claims Mamash proposed a settlement agreement, but she did not agree to it.
Additionally, she says he manipulated her into signing documents falsely stating that he had paid her 16 million tenge as part of a property transfer.
He never paid me anything. I have neither the apartment nor the 16 million, she said.
The trial of Mamash, who faces domestic abuse charges, is expected soon but has not yet been scheduled.
Gosman first accused him of physical abuse in May 2023, which led to a criminal case and their subsequent divorce.
