Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev raised the issue of the damaged Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) terminal in Novorossiysk during a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart in Vienna, Orda.kz reports.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Aibek Smadiyarov clarified that Kosherbayev held a “face-to-face meeting” with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council.
I wasn't present at the meeting itself, but I was nearby, and I'm sure the issue of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) terminal was definitely discussed. We won't comment further on this matter. We maintain contact with the Ukrainian side and will continue working through closed diplomatic channels,
Smadiyarov said at a briefing.
On November 29, Ukrainian unmanned surface drones attacked the CPC terminal in Novorossiysk.
Kazakhstan later issued a diplomatic protest, stating that such strikes harm bilateral relations. Ukraine also responded.
Following the attack, Kazakhstan began rerouting part of its oil exports to alternative destinations.
