Ruslan Berdenov, who recently underwent surgery following an armed attack, appeared in Beijing, Orda.kz reports.
His photo alongside Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu was shared on social media by businessman and Respublica party co-chair Syrymbek Tau, captioned: “Beijing, 02/09/2025.”
Just last week, Berdenov officially stepped down as deputy akim of Shymkent. MP Aidarbek Khojanazarov explained the resignation by noting that government work cannot wait while someone is undergoing treatment.
Only a few days later, Berdenov was spotted among senior officials and business leaders accompanying the president on his visit to China.
Who Else Went?
The business delegation included Nurlan Smagulov, Timur Turlov, Shukhrat Ibragimov, and Farrukh Makhmudov, as well as heads of state bodies Nurlan Zhakupov, Bagdat Musin, Almassadam Satkaliev, and Raimbek Batalov. From the government, Murat Nurtleu and Roman Sklyar were also present.

Earlier today, President Toqayev held bilateral meetings with leaders of major Chinese corporations. Contracts worth over $15 billion are expected to be signed during the visit.
