Financial Monitoring Agency Completes Investigation Into Perizat Kairat

The Financial Monitoring Agency has concluded its investigation into Perizat Kairat, Deputy Chair Zhenis Yelemesov confirmed, Orda.kz reports.
The total damage is estimated at 3.5 billion tenge.
Yes, indeed, I can confirm to you that the criminal case against Perizat Kairat has been completed. At the moment, the participants in the process are familiarizing themselves with the materials of the criminal case. I can also additionally inform you that if you remember that during the investigation of the criminal case we had different amounts of damage, at the moment we have settled on the amount of damage of 3.5 billion tenge,
said Yelemesov in the corridors of the Senate.
He also noted that Perizat Kairat had invested money into purchasing the flower shop Rebel Flowers, presenting herself as a businesswoman.
The court will decide the fate of her property — it will either be transferred to state ownership or used to compensate the victims.
Earlier, it was reported that Perizat Kairat’s mother is also a suspect in the case. Criminal proceedings have been initiated against her under Articles 190 ("Fraud") and 218 ("Money laundering of criminal proceeds") of the Criminal Code.
Today, in the Senate, Deputy Chair Zhenis Yelemesov confirmed that the measure of restraint for Perizat’s mother is house arrest.
Perizat Kairat continues to deny any guilt.
