An exhibition dedicated to Abay Kunanbayev has opened at the Yanka Kupala State Literary Museum in Minsk, Orda.kz reports, citing Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Culture and Information.
The display was organized by the State Historical, Cultural and Literary-Memorial Reserve-Museum “Zhidebai-Borili” with the support of the Ministry.
The exhibition is dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Abay’s birth and features original works of the poet, household items, and exhibits connected to his spiritual and creative legacy,
the ministry noted.
A special highlight was the presentation of Mukhtar Auezov’s book The Path of Abay in Belarusian. The translation was done by writer Mikhail Pozdnyakov, who personally handed over the edition during the opening ceremony.
Earlier, we reported that Italian philologist Fiorenza Boschi published an article on Abay’s works in a European journal. According to her, the Kazakh poet’s verses carry a universal philosophy and deserve recognition within world literature.
