District police inspector Dauren Dosov, a key figure in the high-profile case involving the death of a 23-year-old woman at a Qaraganda police station, has been discharged from the hospital, Orda.kz reports, citing Patriot.
Dosov, who was found unconscious on September 30 in his office, has fully recovered but has since been dismissed from the police force “for negative reasons.”
He remains a witness in the ongoing criminal case. Authorities have not provided official details on the circumstances of the young woman’s death or the officer’s condition. Doctors cite confidentiality, while police say they are awaiting analysis results.
The incident occurred on the night of September 29, when Dosov brought an acquaintance to his office. She was not detained and reportedly came voluntarily. The two were purportedly in a relationship, and he is said to have brought her to the station during night shifts before.
The following morning, a senior officer discovered Dosov unconscious and the woman dead. Dosov was hospitalized shortly afterward.
Following the incident, three police officials were removed from their leadership positions, and several others received disciplinary measures.
