Deep Purple Plays Kazakhstan’s National Anthem at Almaty Concert

The legendary British rock band Deep Purple performed at Almaty Arena on April 22. After the concert, videos spread across social media showing the band’s keyboardist, Don Airey, playing Kazakhstan’s national anthem, Orda.kz reports.
An excerpt from Kozimnin qarasy was also performed on stage. The moment came as a surprise and became one of the most memorable parts of the concert.
Kazakh social media users reacted positively to the gesture.
The chances of Deep Purple playing Kazakhstan’s national anthem on keyboards may be small, but never zero.users wrote online.
Rock fans in Kazakhstan have more to look forward to this year. On June 28, the famous American thrash metal band Megadeth is set to perform at Spartak Stadium in Almaty. At the Park Live Almaty festival at the end of August, Gorillaz, The Offspring, Jack White of The White Stripes, and the duo The Kills are also expected to perform.
