The Central Military Orchestra of Kazakhstan’s National Military-Patriotic Center performed an open-air concert at the monument to Abay on Chistye Prudy in Moscow, Orda.kz reports, citing the Kazakh Embassy in Russia.
The event was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Constitution, marked on August 30. Musicians played popular works such as “Kudasha Dixie,” “Kozimnin Qarasy,” “Yegemen Qazaqstan,” as well as medleys of Kazakh folk songs and pieces from Nurgisa Tlendiyev and the group Dos-Mukasan.
According to the embassy, the performance quickly drew a crowd, warmly received by Muscovites and visitors.
The orchestra arrived in Moscow last week to take part in the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival, joined by Kazakhstan’s Central Ensemble of the Military-Patriotic Center and an honor guard unit.
On Saturday, Kazakh servicemen already performed on Red Square.
This marks the first time since 2019 that Kazakhstan’s military musicians and honor guard have participated in the Spasskaya Tower festival.
