Dariga Nazarbayeva attended the opening of the Tselinny Center for Contemporary Culture in Almaty, Orda.kz reports.
The eldest daughter of former President Nursultan Nazarbayev came to personally congratulate businessman Kairat Boranbayev, whose name has long been tied to the project.
Boranbayev is connected to Nazarbayeva through family ties: his daughter, Aida, was married to Aisultan Nazarbayev, who passed away in 2020.

Renovation of Tselinny began in 2018, but the center officially opened only on September 5. D
elays were caused by the pandemic and Boranbayev’s arrest. Exhibitions are now underway, with film screenings scheduled to begin in December.
