Conscript Dies from Gunshot Wound at Jetisu Training Ground

The incident occurred during combat training, Orda.kz reports.
A conscript of the Air Assault Forces died at the Jetisu training ground after sustaining a fatal gunshot wound. The incident was allegedly the result of a violation of safety rules in handling weapons.
A criminal case has been opened in connection with the incident, and investigative measures are underway. If negligence or lack of oversight on the part of commanders is identified, those responsible will be held strictly accountable. The situation has been placed under the special control of the Minister of Defense,
the press service of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.
Just a few days earlier, 19-year-old conscript Dinmukhamed Shynarbek died in the Almaty region.
His body was found at a military unit in Matybulaq. While the official version cited suicide, the young man’s family disputes this and is demanding an investigation.
