In the Jambyl region, 19-year-old conscript Dinmukhamed Shynarbek died under mysterious circumstances. His body was found at a military unit in Matybulak, Orda.kz reports.
According to the official version, the young man took his own life.
However, his family does not believe this.
Last fall my brother Daniyal joined the army. In the spring, his twin brother Dinmukhamed followed him to serve together. They were initially stationed nearby, but after the oath, Dinmukhamed was transferred to Matybulak, military unit 01098, and separated from his brother, even though twins should not be separated. That is where the tragic incident happened, said the soldier’s sister, Yenlik Kaltaeva.
On August 29, Dinmukhamed turned 19. Before military service, the brothers worked as confectioners.
Hardworking, kind, with dreams for the future... Not long ago, we happily sent Dinmukhamed to the army, believing in his bright future. And today, his mother receives his lifeless body. We cannot believe his death is being explained as suicide. We appeal to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Qasym-Jomart Toqayev, demanding that this case be taken under his personal control. Why are such young men dying in peacetime? We need truth and justice, Yenlik said.
The press service of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan commented as follows:
On September 17, a conscript soldier of one of the units of the Guard garrison committed suicide. A criminal case has been opened. The Commander-in-Chief of the Land Forces has sent a special commission to clarify the circumstances.
