Ten new medical facilities will be built in Kazakhstan’s Aqmola Region using funds confiscated from oligarchs, Orda.kz reports.
On March 25, the government announced that 1.7 billion tenge from the Special State Fund — created to manage assets returned through anti-corruption efforts — will be allocated to complete new healthcare centers in the region’s villages.
The region will receive four outpatient clinics, five feldsher-obstetric stations, and one medical station. This will significantly improve access to quality healthcare in rural areas, enabling a total of 405 patient visits per shift, the government press service said.
Similar projects funded by returned assets are underway in Oskemen and the Qyzylorda Region.
