Chinese Company to Pay One Billion Tenge for Environmental Damage in Eastern Kazakhstan

In the East Kazakhstan region, environmental prosecutors have become interested in the Chinese construction and development company XINXING, Orda.kz reports.
Following an inspection, the supervisory authority identified violations. It turned out that the company illegally used an asphalt concrete plant and a crushing complex.
The LLC did not have an environmental permit for Category II facilities,the prosecutor’s office clarified.
The Chinese company was found guilty under Article 328, Part 1 of the Administrative Offenses Code ("Violation of standards for permissible anthropogenic impact on the environment") and was fined one billion tenge.
XINXING attempted to appeal the court’s decision, but the verdict was upheld.
