The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) has begun legal proceedings against Ukraine over damages caused by a drone strike on the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, Orda.kz reports.
CPC CEO Nikolay Gorban said preliminary estimates place the damage at 2.7 billion rubles. Since the consortium does not hold direct status as a subject of international law, it cannot file a claim on its own.
A special legal process has been initiated to enable the filing of a lawsuit.
The Kropotkinskaya station was attacked on February 17, 2025. According to CPC, several drones loaded with explosives and metal fragments struck the facility, damaging equipment critical to oil transportation.
After repairs, operations resumed on May 23.
