Ekaterina Bivol, the ex-wife of Russian boxer Dmitry Bivol, has been added to Kazakhstan’s wanted list, Orda.kz reports.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed the information:
A criminal case has been opened. The individual named in your request has been placed on the wanted list with a preventive measure of detention. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Further information is confidential in the interests of the investigation.
In Kazakhstan, inciting ethnic discord carries a penalty of up to seven years in prison.
Bivol was previously declared wanted in Kyrgyzstan after law enforcement agencies in both countries took an interest in her social media posts containing offensive remarks about Kazakh and Kyrgyz people.
Following public backlash, her Telegram account was deleted after numerous user complaints. In a comment to the Russian outlet Mash, she said she had consulted a lawyer but declined to elaborate.
Notably, in August 2025, Ekaterina Bivol visited Almaty, showing photos and videos of her relatives living in the city.
