Boat Carrying Tourists from Kazakhstan and Russia Explodes in Thailand

A tourist boat carrying citizens of Kazakhstan and Russia exploded near Maiton Island in Thailand’s Phuket Province, Orda.kz reports.
At the time of the explosion, around 30 tourists were in the water. Several people on board sustained injuries.
Two crew members — the captain and the mechanic — suffered burns. Three tourists sustained minor shrapnel injuries. All were rescued and taken to Ao Chalong Hospital,local Thai media reported.


Orda.kz has contacted Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs for official comment.
