Bloomberg: Sources Claim Russia Closing in On Deal Regarding Bases in Syria

Russia is reportedly nearing a deal with the new Syrian leadership, Orda reports, citing Bloomberg.
The agreement concerns keeping two strategic Russian bases in Syria. The sources requested to remain anonymous.
Earlier, reports surfaced that the Syrian rebels took control over Latakia Province, where the two bases are located.
Meanwhile, the US Secretary of State Blinken is set to visit Türkiye amid reports concerning clashes between forces backed by the US and Türkiye in Syria.
Earlier this week, Turkey-backed forces seized Manbij from the U.S.-backed SDF.
