Berdimuhamedow to Visit Samarqand for High-Level Talks with Uzbek President

Chair of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, will visit Samarqand on April 23–24 at the invitation of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, according to the Uzbek presidential press service.
The visit will focus on strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, as well as expanding cooperation in various sectors, including politics, inter-parliamentary dialogue, trade and economy, transportation and communications, and cultural and humanitarian ties.
The leaders also plan to exchange views on pressing regional and international issues.
On April 21–22, Berdimuhamedow was in Kazakhstan, where he held an informal meeting with President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev in Turkistan.
