Azattyq: Suspect in Attempt on Komiljon Allamjonov's Life Detained in South Korea

South Korean law enforcement has detained the suspect in the attempted assassination of Komiljon Allamjonov, Orda reports, citing Azattyq.
Komiljon Allamjonov is a close associate of the daughter of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
In South Korea, Uzbek citizen Javlon Yunusov was detained on November 14, 2024, after an Interpol request.
An armed attack on Komil Allamjonov, the former Uzbek presidential administration information policy department's head, was committed on the night of October 26. Two unknown assailants fired several shots at the car he was in and fled the scene. Allamjonov was not injured.
The other suspect was detained following the attack.
