AZAL Plane Crash: Blogger Released after Serving 10-day Arrest
Blogger Azamat Sarsenbayev wrote on Instagram that he had been released after serving a 10-day detention for using a drone to document the Aqtau plane crash site, reports Orda.kz.
The Tupkaragan District Court in Mangystau Region previously handed down the administrative sentence after finding Sarsenbayev guilty of not complying with law enforcement orders.
His lawyer maintained that Sarsenbayev's drone footage was intended to inform the public.
