Asset Recovery: State Returned over KZT 26 billion in One Week

The funds will be directed to social and economic projects, Orda.kz reports, citing the Prosecutor General's Office.
The department noted that over the past week, the Special State Fund received more than 26 billion tenge under the law on the return of illegally acquired assets to the state.
The company managing the returned assets transferred over 6 billion tenge to the fund received from selling a business center in Almaty.
The total volume of new receipts amounted to about 32 billion tenge. These funds will be directed to social and economic projects needed by the country.
The Special State Fund's total amount already exceeds 220 billion tenge. Operations to return assets are ongoing.
