Recently, Kazakhstan has recorded two incidents involving unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
On February 17, 2025, the Caspian Pipeline Consortium reported an attack on its facility in Russia. Seven Ukrainian drones, loaded with explosives and metal fragments, struck the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station, causing a temporary shutdown.
The next day, on February 18, residents of Uyaly village in the Bokey Orda district discovered an unidentified flying object measuring 120 centimeters. The device resembled a French-made Crecerelle reconnaissance UAV.
Police and rescue teams arrived at the scene, and the drone was handed over to Kazakhstan's military for further examination.
