Armenia Seeks Expanded Bilateral Relations with US - Pashinyan

During a Washington meeting with the Armenian Assembly of America leadership, Nikol Pashinyan, the Armenian Prime Minister, discussed furthering Armenian-American cooperation and regional stability initiatives, Orda reports, citing News Armenia.
The assembly is one of the largest Armenian-American lobbying organizations.
The establishment of a strategic partnership, according to the document (Charter - ed.) signed by Armenia with the US, opens new opportunities for expanding bilateral relations, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during a meeting in Washington with the leadership of the Armenian Assembly of America.
Pashinyan expressed hope that the Assembly would continue its efforts toward expanding ties in various spheres.
The meeting discussed issues related to the activities of the Armenian Assembly of America and the consistent development and advancement of Armenian-American relations.
This announcement comes amid strained relations between Armenia and Russia and the Armenian government's January approval of a public initiative on EU membership.
