Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense previously accused Armenian forces of opening fire on Azerbaijani army positions multiple times overnight from March 30 to 31, Orda.kz reports, citing The Caucasusian Knot.
Units of the Armenian armed forces repeatedly fired at Azerbaijani army positions using small arms,
the Ministry said, noting the attacks occurred from 22:30 on March 30 until 04:35 on March 31.
The statement also claimed that at 21:25 on March 30, Armenian forces attempted to conduct reconnaissance flights using unmanned aerial vehicles.
Azerbaijan described this as a “provocation” that was successfully prevented.
Armenia’s Ministry of Defense denied the accusations and instead claimed that Azerbaijani forces opened fire on the village of Khndzoresk (Syunik region) at around 00:50 on March 31, damaging a residential building. No one was harmed.
From March 16 to 21, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense issued daily reports alleging border fire from Armenian territory — all denied by Armenia’s defense officials.
