The delayed coking unit (DCU), launched at half capacity on November 12, is now operating at full capacity. Chair of the Board of KazMunayGas Askhat Khasenov stated this at a briefing on November 22, Orda.kz reports.
Answering an Orda.kz correspondent's question, Khasenov emphasized that technological problems with one of the most critical installations at the Atyrau Oil Refinery were successfully resolved.
We do not see any problems with the delayed coking unit today. This is a technological process. Yes, as a result of scheduled repair work, we discovered additional defects. We took organizational and technical measures, and these defects were eliminated. Today, the DCU is operating per design, said Askhat Khasenov.
