Airlines Ready to Bring Kazakhstanis Home From the Middle East

The department held a meeting of the operational headquarters due to the situation in the Middle East, Orda.kz reports.
The discussion was attended by representatives of the Civil Aviation Committee, the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan, Kazaeronavigation, as well as Air Astana, FlyArystan, SCAT, and VietJet Kazakhstan airlines.
The main issues discussed were the current situation in the region, support for passengers of canceled flights, and options for returning citizens to their homeland along alternative and safe routes.
Now the airspace is completely or partially closed in Iran, Israel, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Iraq, and Lebanon. Against this background, 14 flights were canceled on February 28, and 12 more on March 1. As of March 2, there are 13 flights on schedule.
Airlines expressed their readiness to allocate aircraft for return flights when opening the airspace of these countries,the message says.
Further decisions will be made together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
