A total of 2.4 billion tenge from Kazakhstan’s Special State Fund has been allocated for the reconstruction of inter-district multidisciplinary central hospitals in the Merke and Talas districts of Jambyl Region, Orda.kz reports, citing the government.
The bulk of the funds — 2.3 billion tenge — will go toward reconstructing the Talas Multidisciplinary Central District Hospital.
Another 144.9 million tenge is earmarked for renovating the reception department of the Merke Multidisciplinary Central District Hospital. Construction is nearing completion, with commissioning planned before the end of the year.
Overall, in 2025, the Special State Fund has allocated 2.8 billion tenge for four healthcare projects in Jambyl Region.
Earlier, Orda.kz reported on the construction of two rural medical clinics in the Qorday and Talas districts, funded by illegally withdrawn assets returned to Kazakhstan. Each clinic is designed for 45 visits per day.
Recently, a new medical clinic in the village of Arnasay was commissioned — the first facility in the country built using funds recovered from corrupt officials.
