A 14-year-old teenager in Astana got behind the wheel of a Tesla, violated traffic rules and tried to flee from police officers, Orda.kz reports.
The violations were recorded by cameras at the operational control centre. According to police, the driver committed serious traffic offences, ignored demands to stop and tried to get away. A minor friend was in the car with him.
Earlier in March, the same car had already been recorded committing violations, including dangerous manoeuvres. Since previous measures had no effect, the vehicle was sent to an impound lot.
Following the incident, administrative reports were drawn up for driving without a licence and for handing control of a vehicle to a person who has no right to drive. The teenager’s parents were also held responsible for failing to properly fulfil their duties to raise the child and ensure his safety.
