Presidential press secretary Ruslan Zheldibay has posted a photo of Qasym-Jomart Toqayev and Donald Trump together, captioned “New York, USA, 2025,” Orda.kz reports.
The image appears to have been taken on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
Until now, Aqorda had only mentioned that the two presidents spoke, without clarifying whether it was an in-person meeting or just a phone conversation. This led to speculation that no full meeting took place.
By contrast, Trump did meet with Shavkat Mirziyoyev in New York — and even commented on the encounter on Threads, calling the deal with Uzbekistan “magnificent.”
