Zelenskyy Says He Will Personally Join Talks with Russia in Türkiye, Awaits Full Ceasefire from May 12

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced via his Telegram channel that Kyiv expects a complete ceasefire to begin on May 12, and confirmed that he will personally take part in negotiations with Russia in Türkiye on Thursday, reports Orda.kz.
We are waiting for a ceasefire tomorrow — a complete and long-term one, to provide the necessary basis for diplomacy. There is no point in prolonging the killings. And I will wait for Putin on Thursday in Türkiye. In person. I hope that this time the Russians will not look for reasons why they cannot,
Zelenskyy wrote.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump urged Ukraine to accept Vladimir Putin's proposal for talks in Istanbul.
President Putin of Russia doesn’t want to have a Cease Fire Agreement with Ukraine, but rather wants to meet on Thursday, in Turkey, to negotiate a possible end to the BLOODBATH. Ukraine should agree to this, IMMEDIATELY. At least they will be able to determine whether or not a deal is possible, and if it is not, European leaders, and the U.S., will know where everything stands, and can proceed accordingly! I’m starting to doubt that Ukraine will make a deal with Putin, who’s too busy celebrating the Victory of World War ll, which could not have been won (not even close!) without the United States of America. HAVE THE MEETING, NOW!!!,
Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.
The day before, the Russian President proposed beginning direct negotiations with Kyiv on May 15.
