A young woman waiting for a bus in Taraz was forcibly pulled into a car and driven away, Orda.kz reports.
The incident unfolded in front of numerous witnesses — some tried to intervene, but the abductors quickly fled the scene. Eyewitnesses said the woman screamed and resisted, but the men acted decisively, leaving bystanders in shock.
Preliminary information suggests the abduction was connected to an attempted “bride kidnapping.”
The regional police department of Jambyl Region confirmed that an investigation has been launched under Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan, “Abduction of a person.”
All participants have been identified and questioned. It was established that the parties were previously acquainted and have no mutual claims,
the department said.
Despite this, police emphasized that the investigation is still ongoing.
