Yermek Kosherbayev Replaces Nurtleu as Foreign Minister

Yermek Kosherbayev has been appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Orda.kz reports. He previously served as Deputy Prime Minister.
By decree of the head of state, Yermek Bedelbayevich Kosherbayev has been appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He has been relieved of his previous position, Aqorda announced.
Kosherbayev has held various posts throughout his career, including ambassador, governor of the East Kazakhstan Region, and senior roles in the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and several national companies.
On February 14, 2025, he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister. Today, he officially assumed the role of Foreign Minister.
Kosherbayev is fluent in Kazakh, Russian, English, and Korean.
