Employees of Beijing Yangguantianchuan LLC, a partner of JSC KMK Munay, have appealed to President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev, Orda.kz reports.
The enterprise, located in the Temir district of the Aqtobe region, produces oil equipment. Workers say they earn between 85,000 and 140,000 tenge — the lowest among KMK Munay’s partner companies.
Wages are barely enough for food, utilities, and loan payments. They haven’t been raised since 2023. Following this appeal, we ask that an inspection be sent to our company and that the pressure from management be stopped, the appeal states.
According to employees, operations are carried out under high temperature and pressure, with the use of acids and alkalis. However, management ignores requests for higher pay, reportedly telling workers: “If you don’t like it — leave.”
KMK Munay develops the Kokzhide, Mortuq, and Qumsay oil fields in the Aqtobe region. It is one of Kazakhstan’s largest oil producers and is listed among major taxpayers under state monitoring. Its ultimate owners are CNPC-AqtobeMunayGas and Yukon Energy Holding S.A.
