Kazakh artist Adil Aubekerov has created the world’s largest high-altitude mural — 36 by 6 meters — at 3,200 meters above sea level in Shymbulaq, marking the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, Orda.kz reports.
Commissioned by the UN Office in Kazakhstan and Shymbulaq Resort, the work blends Kazakh nomadic symbolism with modern artistic language, celebrating values of unity, respect for nature, and global cooperation.

UN representative Vlastimil Samek called it a symbol of partnership and a reminder that “art can express what words cannot.”
The mural, painted entirely freehand, has been recognized as the world’s first and largest UN-dedicated high-altitude mural.
