Workers' Deaths: Commission to Investigate Incidents at Enterprises
Incidents are being investigated in the Qaraganda and Qostanay regions, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection reported. Six people were killed in two regions of Kazakhstan. The authorities have set up commissions to investigate the causes.
The first incident occurred on October 5, 2024, at the Sayak mine of the Kazakhmys company. An unidentified gas poisoned three people. Two, a mine foreman and his assistant, died. The third was taken to the Balkhash City Hospital. A special commission is investigating the circumstances.
The second incident occurred on October 6 at the Rudny mill complex. The bodies of four people were found there, including a technician from the Imperial Agro Group and three other people. The company stated that there was no employment relationship with those who died, except for the technician.
A commission has also been created to clarify all the details and determine what led to the incident.
Special commissions will investigate these cases.
