Worker Dies At Stepnogorsk Thermal Power Plant, Three Others Hospitalized

An accident occurred at the Stepnogorsk Thermal Power Plant (TPP), leaving one person dead and three others hospitalized, an Orda.kz correspondent reports.
The enterprise itself confirmed the incident.
On August 26, during the dismantling of the water economizer on boiler unit No. 2 at the Stepnogorsk TPP, workers of the contractor organization were injured. One person died, and three workers were taken by ambulance to the Stepnogorsk multidisciplinary hospital. They sustained injuries of varying severity, the TPP said in a statement.
A special commission has been established to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
The press service of the Aqmola Region Police Department reported that a criminal case has been opened.
The TPP also noted that it will provide full support to the families of both the deceased and the injured.
