The participants separately discussed changes in the healthcare sector. Work is now being finalized on amendments to the by-laws regulating the application of VAT on the import of medicines and medical products, as well as tax exemptions for orphan and socially significant drugs. the statement said.
At the same time, several agencies — the Ministries of Industry and Construction, Energy, and Finance, as well as the Committee for the Regulation of Natural Monopolies and Samruk-Kazyna — are working on changes to procurement rules. These concern the purchase of goods and services from companies operating under a special tax regime based on a simplified declaration.
The Ministry of National Economy is developing a unified approach to these changes in order to ensure compliance with tax legislation and maintain competition without increasing costs for quasi-state companies.
The remaining issues concerned tax administration, changes to tax regimes, the operation of information systems, and the financial sector. According to the government, they were resolved in working order.
