Visits of Kazakhstani Citizens to Uzbekistan to Be Made Easier
The Uzbek authorities intend to simplify the crossing of the state border for Kazakhstani citizens, Orda.kz reports. This was announced by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Gazeta.uz reports that Mirziyoyev said on November 20 that Uzbekistan would simplify border crossings for Kazakhstani citizens.
He noted that Kyrgyzstan's citizens have been able to visit Uzbekistan with ID cards since September. The Uzbek authorities intend to establish the same procedure with Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that Uzbekistan aims to expand its circle of friendly countries and partners and deepen regional cooperation with neighbors. Interaction with other Central Asian states, including Kazakhstan, will remain one of Uzbekistan's foreign policy priorities.
