Kazakhstan’s Vice Minister of Health, Timur Muratov, has spoken about the condition of Yerbayan Mukhtar, who underwent rehabilitation in Türkiye following a severe injury during military service, Orda.kz reports.
According to Muratov, the serviceman has recently returned home, but doctors remain cautious about his recovery prospects.
Unfortunately, the young man sustained a severe injury, and our specialists estimate that his rehabilitation potential is limited. This figure needs to be continually reviewed,
he said.
The Vice Minister also highlighted the government’s role in covering the costs of the soldier’s treatment and transportation.
Our state can afford to transport a citizen on a comfortable air ambulance. It costs about 50–60 million tenge per flight. And we partially compensated for their treatment and travel,
Muratov added.
He noted that Kazakh doctors will soon reassess Yerbayan Mukhtar’s condition to determine whether further rehabilitation is possible.
A final decision on his continued treatment will be made after an expert review.
