Uzbekistan’s Population Surpasses 38 Million

As of August 28, the population of Uzbekistan has exceeded 38 million people, Orda.kz reports, citing the National Statistics Committee.
According to official data, the country is home to 18,863,202 women and 19,136,803 men, meaning the male population outnumbers the female population by roughly 273,600 people.
For comparison, as of July 1 this year, Uzbekistan’s population stood at 37,859,698 residents.
