Uzbekistan's Armed Forces will establish new units focused on counter-drone operations, robotics, air defense, and AI-powered cyber structures, Orda reports, citing the Uzbek President's press service.
On February 21, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev issued these directives to relevant officials as part of priority tasks for the current and upcoming years. He emphasized that modern armed conflicts must be considered when planning army development.
In addition to creating new units, Mirziyoyev instructed to develop a unified automated troop management system and implement modern methods in personnel training.
