Uzbekistan Revises Foreign Truck Entry Fees for 2025

Starting January 1, 2025, Uzbekistan is updating its entry fees for foreign cargo vehicles, Orda reports, citing Gazeta.uz.
Turkmenistan faces the steepest increases, with fees rising to $130-250 based on truck tonnage, plus a $375 fee for third-country cargo transport.
EU and Azerbaijan get new time-based rates: $80 for stays under 14 days and $280 for longer periods.
Iran's fees drop to zero under a parity agreement while other countries maintain existing rates:
- Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan: $300
- Tajikistan: $100-200 (tonnage-based)
- Afghanistan: $50
- Other countries: $400
The changes follow October's Uzbek-Turkmen agreement on transparent transport fees, with plans to implement an electronic permit system similar to existing arrangements with Türkiye and Kazakhstan.
