Starting January 1, 2025, Uzbekistan is updating its entry fees for foreign cargo vehicles, Orda reports, citing Gazeta.uz.
Turkmenistan faces the steepest increases, with fees rising to $130-250 based on truck tonnage, plus a $375 fee for third-country cargo transport.
EU and Azerbaijan get new time-based rates: $80 for stays under 14 days and $280 for longer periods.
Iran's fees drop to zero under a parity agreement while other countries maintain existing rates:
- Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan: $300
- Tajikistan: $100-200 (tonnage-based)
- Afghanistan: $50
- Other countries: $400
The changes follow October's Uzbek-Turkmen agreement on transparent transport fees, with plans to implement an electronic permit system similar to existing arrangements with Türkiye and Kazakhstan.
