Uzbekistan has debuted in armored vehicle manufacturing at IDEX 2025, the international defense exhibition currently underway in the United Arab Emirates, Orda reports.
This development comes as significant news in a sector where Kazakhstan had previously been the region's sole producer of wheeled armored vehicles.
The exhibition, which brings together hundreds of military equipment manufacturers ranging from uniform suppliers to heavy weapons producers, features three new models from Uzbekistan.
The Krantas Group engineering association is showcasingtwo variants of their Arslon Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) - in 6x6 and 8x8 configurations.
They are built according to NATO standards. The manufacturer of both machines is the Krantas Group engineering association, which produces cranes, tank trucks, manipulators, etc. Naturally, there are many borrowings from foreign solutions, but the concept itself is correct - MTO in the front, a convenient ramp,BTVT.info reports.
Uzbekistan has also introduced the To'fon, its first domestically produced self-propelled wheeled howitzer, marking its entry into artillery vehicle manufacturing, according to Daryo.
