Uzbekistan and Russia Top List in Kazakhstan’s International Money Transfers for June

The National Bank of Kazakhstan has released new data on international money transfers for June 2025, showing a slight decline in both incoming and outgoing transactions, Orda.kz reports.
The total volume of international transfers reached 67.3 billion tenge in June — 4.9% less than the previous month.
Kazakhstanis sent 64.7 billion tenge abroad, with the Zolotaya Korona system accounting for most transactions.
The average transfer amount was 56,400 tenge.
Uzbekistan remained the top recipient of funds from Kazakhstan, accounting for 41.6% of outgoing transfers. Other destinations included:
- Russia — 27%
- Türkiye — 13.1%
- Georgia — 5.4%
- Kyrgyzstan — 3.2%
Meanwhile, 18.6 billion tenge was sent into Kazakhstan from abroad. Compared to May, the number of incoming transfers dropped by 4.5%, and the total volume decreased by 2.4%.
Although less money is typically sent into the country than out, Russia continues to lead in inbound transfers at 24.2%, followed by:
- USA — 16.4%
- Türkiye — 10.3%
- Uzbekistan — 10.1%
- Germany — 8.5%
