Uzbekistan and Russia plan to more than triple the number of weekly flights between the two countries, from 310 to over 1,000, Orda.kz reports, citing Uzbekistan's Ministry of Transport.
According to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport, aviation authorities from both countries reached the agreement during talks held in Moscow on July 21–22. The two sides also discussed expanding the route network to include “triangle flights” connecting three destinations in a single route.
Airlines from both countries have been granted the right to operate over 1,000 flights per week, making full use of all available destinations, the Ministry said in a statement.
Currently, more than 310 scheduled flights are operated weekly between Russia and Uzbekistan.
