Uzbekistan Airways has modified its European flight routes following a report from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Orda reports, citing Gazeta.uz.
The company's aircraft now bypass Russia by flying through Azerbaijan and Türkiye. Flight times have increased by 30-40 minutes.
Shukhrat Khudaykulov reported that the company's flight control center continuously analyzes the situation in the airspace.
Analysis is conducted literally every second. If a situation is deemed unsafe — and we have an average of 200 passengers per flight, and we are responsible for each one — a decision is made to change the route, about which dispatchers immediately instruct the pilots, he emphasized.
