Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Khujand on March 31 at the invitation of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Orda reports, citing the presidential press service.
The trip will include a trilateral meeting between the leaders of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan — the first such summit.
Discussions will concern strengthening regional ties, expanding trade, and enhancing cultural cooperation. A treaty formalizing the junction point of the three countries’ borders is expected to be signed.
The leaders will also attend a joint cultural concert featuring regional artists.
In January, the three governments held a landmark meeting at the border junction, calling it a historic step for regional prosperity. Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan also reached a historic border agreement after years of dispute.
