The United States has suspended deliveries of certain air defense missiles and other precision munitions to Ukraine, Orda.kz reports, citing Politico.
According to the outlet, the decision was made by the Pentagon due to concerns over the limited stockpiles of such weapons within the U.S. itself. The suspension reportedly includes Patriot interceptor missiles, Hellfire missiles, and other high-precision munitions.
These supplies had originally been approved during Joe Biden’s presidency.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed the purchase of U.S. air defense systems with President Donald Trump at a NATO summit in The Hague last month.
White House deputy press secretary said the decision to pause shipments was made “in the interest of the United States following an internal review.”
