U.S. President Orders Preparations for Urgent Meeting with Iranian Officials

The President of the United States has directed his team to organize a meeting with Iranian representatives as soon as possible, Orda.kz reports, citing The New York Times.
If held, the Islamic Republic is expected to be represented by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The U.S. National Security Council has reportedly been instructed to convene and prepare for the meeting in the White House Situation Room.
Earlier, it was reported that former President Donald Trump cut short his visit to the G7 summit in Canada due to the escalating conflict.
Since June 13, Iran and Israel have been engaged in reciprocal missile strikes. Casualties have been reported on both sides, along with significant damage to buildings in multiple cities.
